Happy New Year everybody!

posted: January 9, 2010

I'd like to wish all of you the very best for 2010 - I hope 2010 will be a wonderful year for everybody!

Having said that, I haven't been able to update my website for quite some time now. Back in October, I was the victim of a rather nasty car crash, as a result of which I haven't been able to do much since then. Fortunately for me, I've almost fully recovered and I've even been able to resume working this past week.

This morning I've taken delivery of my new car, and I'll upload some photos to my website as soon as the weather turns. At the moment the weather is rather frightful here, and not that inviting for an outdoor photoshoot with the new ride. You'll just have to hold your horses a while.

Another purchase last week, albeit a smaller one, was a 2.5" 500Gb portable harddisk, on which I'm currently collecting all my music. I've created a backup of my entire music collection on this disk, which I'm going to connect to my digital photo frame. Using iTunes, I can now browse through all my music without having to look for a CD ever again. Because I have a fairly large collection, and especially since I haven't sorted it lately, this will save me a lot of time.

In 2010 I'll also try to update the music section as well as the movie section of this website: because I now have all my music in digital form, it shouldn't be too hard to write a small piece of software to generate the web counterpart of this musical information. As for my movie collection, I still haven't found quite the right way to put it all online, but it'll come in time.

I also hope to put some of my projects online - first of all will probably be a small shutdown utility, which I've written a few months ago and which turns out to be quite handy.

Last but not least, I'll keep adding articles and snippets I find handy, hoping someone else out there will feel the same.

Well, that's the theoretical part anyway, on to the technical part... If you have any suggestions to improve my website, I'd certainly like to hear about them!

Happy 2010!!
